Aajeevika Bureau, headquartered in Udaipur, is a non-profit trust with a vision to secure, dignified lives of communities dependent on labour and migration (www.aajeevika.org). Aajeevika Bureau operates through a network of facilitation centres and offers services and solutions to seasonal migrant workers and their families. These centres are based at the source (in Rajasthan) and destination (in Gujarat and Maharashtra).

Our employee base comprises of team members from across diverse academic and work experiences, as well as varied socio-economic profiles, ideologies and strengths. We are a vibrant group of over 100 full time employees and consultants who are aptly supported by a regular pool of fellows and interns. Additionally, there is a large pool of community resource persons and para-workers that function as our extended teams across our communities. A strategic approach to systematic nurturing of this human capital is a critical need of the organization.

We are looking for a senior team member who can work closely with the leadership of the organization in strategic human resource development and with other stakeholders (internal, like human resource management personnel, field teams, program managers etc, as well as external like advisors, donor teams, resource persons and facilitators) in getting them aligned and engaged with the desired HRD processes.

Location

Udaipur, with need based travel to field locations across south Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra

Roles & Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:
• Developing and playing a central role in executing the overall organizational human resource development strategy
• Working with individual as well as program teams in aspiration mapping and setting up KRAs and learning trajectories
• Conducting regular and participatory KRA review process and developing capacity building framework
• Structuring the capacity building programs (with support from external experts and organization leadership) and implementation of the same
• Relevant and regular internal and external communication for the above
• Working closely with the human resource management personnel on hiring, orientation and appraisals

Supportive responsibilities include:
• Working along with leadership in raising required funds/resources for human resource development
• Working on capacity building of program managers so that they can gear up for the respective HRD processes in future in their teams
• Being available for the team members as a sounding board and managing conflicts and grievance redressal. Acting as a connector between head office and field teams
• Helping in organization development processes from time to time including proposal writing, partnership management and advocacy (this is not an exhaustive list and basis the skills and interests of the candidate, this can be tailored)

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a candidate with at least 5-7 years of work experience in human resource development planning and capacity building and organizational development processes. Experience in training/facilitation and grassroots project management will be added benefit. We expect the candidate to have a post-graduate degree in a relevant field. The candidate needs to be competent in English and Hindi and adept at working with team members across diverse academic and work qualifications.

Remunerations & Benifits

Aajeevika Bureau is a field based non-profit organisation and its salary scales are comparable to professional, field-based development agencies. Depending on their qualification and a minimum relevant experience of 5-7 years, we will determine a suitable salary package in line with our internal structure
