About the Role: As the Senior HR Business Partner, you'll be the primary HR interface for your assigned population, working closely with management and employees to provide effective Human Resource support
You'll develop and implement HR plans, support change management initiatives, and ensure compliance with company guidelines and legislative requirements
Develop strong relationships with managers and employees to deliver a credible, customer-focused HR service
Work with Talent Development and Front-line Managers to develop resourcing, training, development, and succession plans aligned with business strategy
Work with Labor Relations Business Partner to effectively administer two collective bargaining agreements
Provide generalist and complex HR advice and support, ensuring advice is professional, legally sound, and focused on business requirements and building a better workplace
Support change management initiatives, providing guidance and coaching to leaders and employees
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and processes, and advise on legislative risks related to employment issues
Point of Contact for all employees within your assigned population to coordinate Short-term Disability, FMLA, and ADA processes
Lead recruiter for open positions within your assigned population in need of sourcing qualified external talent
Work with Global Mobility to onboard and offboard expats and ensure their acclimation to the Port Arthur site and area

Qualifications and Skills:
• Path 1: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or related field with 7 years of professional HR Generalist Experience; or Path 2: Associates Degree with at least 10 years of professional HR Generalist experience
• SHRM-SCP or Senior Professional in Human Resources (HRCI SPHR) certification preferred
• HR Experience within the Refining and Petrochemicals, New Energies or Manufacturing industries is strongly preferred; administering Union Contracts within these industries is a plus.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
